OLL Admissions Policies

For the 2025-2026 school year, Our Lady of Lourdes will temporarily accept applications on a rolling basis. To receive an admissions application or to learn more about our requirements, please contact the OLL office at  [email protected]

The following policies govern student admission to Our Lady of Lourdes:

  • Applicants must live on the Pine Ridge Reservation, except in the case of the children of staff.
  • The Admission Application Form must be completed and submitted.
  • Applicants must qualify for admission on the admission test.
  • Applicants with special needs must indicate them on the Admission Application Form. Concealing such information would invalidate a candidate’s admission, even if granted.

  • Transfer students must meet all general admission requirements in order to qualify for admission.
  • Transcripts from the previous school are required before a transfer student can be officially enrolled.
  • Transfer students with less than a 2.0 cumulative GPA will not be admitted.

Our History

In 1920, the first Catholic church of Porcupine was built across from a tiny general store in the village. In 1929, after the former mission chapel was converted into a schoolhouse, Our Lady of Lourdes grade school was founded by the “Blue Nuns” (the Sisters of the Holy Humility of Mary). The Sisters of the Holy Humility of Mary ran the school for six years, but were later called back to their hometown of Cleveland.
