About RCHS

From Lakota language courses to winning athletic teams and a plethora of after-school clubs and activities, there is plenty to fill our students’ schedules at Red Cloud High School.

Here, our students learn responsibility and respect, and gain a passion for learning and growing. In everything we do, we seek to give our students the strong foundation they deserve so they will not only pursue post-secondary education at our nation’s most prestigious colleges and universities, but will also emerge as leaders in their community on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation.

Our students’ results? Nearly 100 percent of our graduating seniors walk across the commencement stage with plans in place for further education or training, including some young men and women enlisting in the United States military.

Seventy-two students have earned Bill and Melinda Gates Millennium
Scholarships, the most per capita in the nation. The list goes on and on and on.
