Strong Performances from Maȟpíya Lúta at Wolf Creek Haŋpápȟečhuŋpi and Wačhípi

Maȟpíya Lúta students showcased both talent and pride at the Wolf Creek Tȟé&ča Wačhípi Okȟólakičhiye on November 14, 2025. Our youth represented the school and their familes with strength, respect, and skill.

Handgame Teams Earn 3rd and 5th Place

Two Maȟpíya Lúta elementary handgame teams competed in the double-elimination tournament, finishing 3rd and 5th overall. Students were highly focused bringing home well-earned placements.

Their success reflects the continued growth of traditional games at Maȟpíya Lúta and the commitment of students, mentors, and culture bearers who keep these traditions strong.

The event was filled with laughter, and encouragement Whether competing in handgames or dancing in full regalia, our students carried themselves with confidence and represented Maȟpíya Lúta with honor. Their performances showed the strength of our teachings and the importance of spaces where our youth can shine.
