Sarayah Weston Hits Her Stride on the Course with Top Finishes and Personal Bests

Multiple

Maȟpíya Lúta sophomore Sarayah Weston is having a breakout golf season, notching impressive finishes and personal records across three major tournaments this spring.

Her strong run began at the Elks Challenge in Rapid City, where she shot her all-time low score of 101 in tough conditions, including rain and hail. That performance earned her a 2nd-place finish—her best placement at that point in her golf career.

She followed that up with another 2nd place finish at the prestigious Lakota Nation Invitational, proving her earlier success was no fluke. Sarayah’s consistency and focus have made her one of the standout golfers in the region this season.

Most recently, on Monday, May 12th, she competed at the Black Hills Conference meet and broke another personal milestone—shooting a season-low 98 to secure 5th place overall.

Sarayah’s continued improvement and mental toughness in all weather conditions have shown her commitment to the sport and the hard work she’s putting in behind the scenes.

Congratulations to Sarayah Weston on an incredible run, and good luck as you prepare for regionals and state!
