OLL’s New AED
We are thrilled to announce that Winyan Wakan Owayawa has taken an important step forward in ensuring the safety and well-being of our school community—thanks to Nurse Megan, who has successfully acquired an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) for our school!
An AED is a vital piece of equipment that can literally save lives in the event of a cardiac emergency. These devices are designed to deliver a controlled electric shock to the heart during sudden cardiac arrest, helping to restore a normal heartbeat. While we always hope such emergencies never happen, having an AED on-site means we are better prepared to respond swiftly and effectively if needed.
The presence of this device gives our staff and families greater peace of mind, knowing that we are equipped to handle a critical health situation. It is an essential tool that can make all the difference in those crucial minutes before first responders arrive.
This initiative highlights Megan’s commitment to the safety of our students and staff, demonstrating her proactive approach to creating a secure environment at Winyan Wakan Owayawa.
