The Maȟpíya Lúta Tȟabkapsilyapi hit the links last Thursday, April 30th, at Elk’s Golf Course in Rapid City for the 2026 Wall Elk’s Challenge, with both the girls and boys teams turning in strong performances on the day.
Girls Results
The Maȟpíya Lúta girls claimed 2nd place as a team, a tremendous result that reflects the depth and talent across the roster. Brooklyn Twiss led the way individually, carding a 95 to finish 4th place overall. Kimimela Rama followed closely with a 98, good enough for 5th place, while Sarayah Weston rounded out the top ten with a score of 109 for 8th place. Ava Little also competed, posting a score of 124.
Boys Results
On the boys’ side, Christian Jack posted a strong round of 96 to lead the team. Topa Jack, competing in his first high school meet, turned in a score of 110, a promising debut on the high school stage. Kendall LeBeau rounded out the boys’ results with a score of 118.
Looking Ahead
The back-to-back 2nd place finishes are a strong statement from the Maȟpíya Lúta Tȟabkapsilyapi girls as the season continues to build momentum. The team will tee it up again this Tuesday, May 5th, at Bennett County in Martin, looking to keep the streak alive..
