Junior Kinley Fox, a key player on the high school girls team, credited their success to the commitment shown throughout the season.
“The dedication and the hard work our team put in made a huge difference in our performances, as well as our ability to work together as a team,” Kinley said.
The high school girls went undefeated in the tournament, showcasing discipline, energy, and confidence.
“It was a very good experience,” Kinley said. “We presented ourselves in a good way and swept the whole tournament while doing so.”
She also shared a lighthearted moment that highlighted the team’s bond and positive energy.

“My favorite moment was when Josephine decided to do a cartwheel mid-game and got one of my freethrows taken away,” she laughed. “It was random and funny.”
For Kinley, the trip to Denver wasn’t just about winning—it also reinforced her personal goals as an athlete.
“It helps me realize that I need to work harder and teaches me to be more disciplined and consistent with the gym.”
Maȟpíya Lúta will continue its busy travel schedule with the next tournament set for May 23–24 in Omaha, where the teams will once again compete.
